Meditation music by Kristian Marcussen
Music for meditation that is not just a soundscape, but has edge and depth.
Psychodynamic meditation tool
The album Smørblomsten (Buttercup) is composed as a psychodynamic meditation tool. The idea is to let your thoughts follow the music, which has no guide. The album is structured like a motivational conversation: First, trust and security are established, then comes a phase of immersion, and the last half of the music is uplifting and encouraging.
Lighter activity in the mind during meditation
I have produced two meditations for singing bowls and piano. The soundscape varies from providing space for calm and contemplation with pure singing bowls, to being more mentally activating in the form of atmospheric piano playing. Gert Bach plays singing bowls and wind chimes.
Live background music for your meditation
As something new, I offer to come and play at your meditation session while you guide. When it happens live, a synergy arises between you as the guide and me as the music provider. I recommend that there is a piano/keyboard on site, but in special cases I can bring one.
More music by Kristian Marcussen
I seek to explore the tension between jazz music and music suitable for meditation. So the jazz music becomes calm and sonorous, and the meditation music gains depth and an edge.
